Launched in 2012, the Centennial Fund is the primary vehicle for securing the future of Jewish Detroit, with an initial goal of raising $250 million. The fund’s Endowment and Capital gifts are allocated across four key areas: Social Services, Jewish Education and Identity, Israel and World Jewry, and Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowments (PACE).
Initially, the Centennial Fund focused exclusively on soliciting Benefactor Level Gifts of $1 million or more. The names and photos of individuals and families who have made these gifts are proudly displayed in the David Hermelin Conference Center. In 2019, the campaign expanded to include the Partner Level, soliciting gifts between $100,000 and $999,999. The names of those who have committed at this level are displayed in the hall on the east side of the Federation Lobby.
