Assigned Donor

A donor who has a volunteer or Federation professional who is responsible for soliciting their Annual Campaign pledge/donation

Unassigned Donor

A donor or potential donor who is not assigned to either a volunteer or Federation professional. Unassigned donors can be solicited via phone, text, direct mail or email.

Campaign Divisions

The umbrella categorization we use in our Constituent Relational Management (CRM) to segment donors. Our three categories are:

General

Mainly men over the age of 40

Women’s Philanthropy

Mainly women over the age of 40

NEXTGen Detroit

Anyone under the age of 40

Campaign Pace

A snapshot reflecting the total amount raised and/or total donors secured compared to the same time last year.

CRM (Constituent Relationship Management system / YODA)

A centralized database and software tool used by the Jewish Federation to manage and analyze its relationships with donors, volunteers, and program participants.

Donor Portal

Federation’s online platform for calling, texting and emailing campaign assignments and open donor cards.

Gift for Gift/Card for Card

A measure which tracks how much more or less our returning donors are giving this year compared to last year.

Giving Levels

Annual Campaign donation tiers that are each recognized with a distinct name and identity. See Community Pillars and Community Campaign.

Insight

Software that connects to our CRM which provides informational dashboards which report on Annual Campaign results, solicitor performance, etc.

National Young Leadership Cabinet: (Cabinet)

Jewish Federation of North America (JFNA) Program for donors $5,000+ under the age of 40 (for the first year). Cabinet is a 5-year program and often a springboard to a lifelong commitment to Jewish communal leadership and philanthropy.

PACE

Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment. These living or testamentary gifts ensure that needs across the community are always met, as well as providing essential funds to support our Jewish way of life.

Secured Gift

A donation which has been closed; the pledge (gift) has been made.

Unsecured Gift

A donation which has not been been closed; the pledge (gift) has not been made.
